I finally got around to watching The Devil's Backbone today. Actually I am still in the middle of it while typing right now. I just had to document this thought before i forgot it.
Eduardo Noriega...so far he isnt a good guy in this movie but damn he is fine. i mean god damn this guy is fine. Reminds me of another movie moment crush I have.
I think I am just really into this look. Dark featured, swarthy, dirty wife beater with those pants. It's a bit Stanley Kowalski but with a revolutionary cause.

Work of Arts Leading Ladies

Last year I worked on a show called Work of Art for the Bravo network . It's been described as a Project Runway but with Fine Artist. The reviews from my friends and family were pretty mixed . I am really no fair judge myself since I worked on it. BUt that kind of says something compared my usual indifference to the shows I have been apart of.

The show has already aired and ended by now and word is not out yet if it will return. Oddly it took me a year before I even started looking up some of the artist / contestants on the shows personal work and websites.
I am particularly fond of two artist.

Peregrin Honig work i was especially fond of her humor and playfulness in her creative expression. i rally thought she was going to win it. I'll admit my opinion on her is especially colored by the fact i got to hang her final show and be on camera for the finale. Just the same the girl is amazing.


Nicole Nadeau is another artist I was fond of throughout the show. Her understanding of materials and design is beyond impressive.Check out her site it's well put together and shows alot of her versatility and charm . when i first met her I noticed this great set of rings she was wearing.At teh times it was just a prototype in lucite that she and her design partner were in the works of getting laser cut metal versions made. They are for sale on her site but far beyond my budget. Check them out and other wonders she has designed and created. She was cut far too early from the show I think but I fo sure ain't Jerry Saltz. So what do I know.
