My grandparent have been a great influence on me. I have long been so facinated by them, ot the point they have become almost unknown to me as grandma and grandpa but as charactor. Stories that have become memories, as if i were ever there.

my grandpa came to america on a whaling ship when he was a teenager. i don't know if you have ever know someone whom has come to america on a whaling ship but i will tell one thing about hem. they are so mother f-ing annoying sometimes.
there is really nothing you can complain about around them.

i used to watch the L word downloaded with my roomate in college and we were so into that show. don't get any ideas. we were not inspired by it. we just loved it for the same reason lots of women do. the woman on it are so bold and sexy and yet still kinda relatable.
you have your favorite charactors, just like with sex and the city .
i have a love hate relationship with jenny...i know she is an annoying whiney fuck up and if i met her college i would wanna push her in a wadding pool. but she so pretty , and dark and fun to watch what she'll get into next.
I love alice cuz she funny and a nice oasis from the sometimes too polished lesbos they have onto eh show. lately its been a little over the top with lesbian power players and they did this scene wher they ripped off scarface which was waaaay over the top.
i never watched Queer as Folk so i dont know if this compares to it. and it interesting even though theshow is heavily sexual not a lot of men are into it. they find the emotional story line and examination of what it mean to be in a relationship boring. they totally dont get how sexy that emotional element makes the show for women.
damn that shows got me hook and now that i have free showtime its like a L Word / Tudors sandwich of debauchery.

Roisin Murphy is a sober answer to the void amy winehouse has left in my life...no really the imagery in this video is fantastic. each frame would be a an amazing still photo. i suspect it is based on still images from a photographer that i am too think to understand the reference. but still i love her.

Oh my God do i wish i was in the room for this moment! what is this stage show...
i knew will farrel had a stage show with Zach in it .
But i had no idea Will Arnett, Demetri martin, and Nick Swardson were all involved.
how fucking awesome a stand up show is that! There is no man in that line up i do not have a hard on for. That was such an interesting display of male ego and comic competitiveness.
Demtri didn't even get his pants down below his knees. Zach G has often taken his pants off in videos and it seemed Will Ferrel wasn't gonna let him upstage him.
Nick just seem to be following the crowd and Demetri , bless his heart didn't even give a little bun.

So one day i was riding the 123 train downtown on my way back to the offices of my internship at Mirabai Film. Mira Nair had me go to her home and go on her personal computer and organize her personal photos.
I sitting there in this nearly empty car writing every detail i can about Mira's apartment, the room she uses as an office/ yoga space, the hundred of photos she took of yoga gurus, filming features in England and India, her trips around the world, and candids of herself with Sofia Coppola and Uma thurman and such. Scribbling words down furiously trying not to loose one memory of how utterly cool i feel in this moment.
Knowing i am the envy of many of my film girlfriends. i am living one of those moments i hoped for when i was a trapped anxiety teenager dreaming of life in new york.
When teh train makes a stop and in rushes this scrawny lil man who sits down right next to me. so close in fact he is sitting on my jackets, rubbing elbows with me.
other then a couple of ghetto fabulous girls across from me standing at the adjacent doorway, a lone old man at one end of the car hunched over his paper and maybe a couple sitting together. there was no one on the car...plenty of spaces to sit and have some breathing room. but this d-bag practically sitting on me.
so me being very full of pride in this moment and really not one to ever back down from an opportunity to say fuck off. look up from my mole skin and get ready to have at it.

Many questions and confusion arises in my head in this moments...first off why is Ethan Hawk on the train...why is he not taking a cab...why is he in Harlem....why is he on my coat playing with his sidekick....why am i not doing anything about this when it is so clearly annoying issue of personal space?
